The Great British Trading Company
The Great British Trading Company was established for the purpose of producing a brand of rum that would resonate with consumers who like their spirits stronger. A traditional, robust blend of Caribbean rums for those who identify with the exploits of centuries of intrepid seamen (for whom rum was deemed an indispensable part of life). Our rums are blended by Master Blenders in Europe by a company that has been in the rum business since 1712, several years before Black Bart even began his piratical career. We take pride in our products, as we do in our heritage.
In homage to our family's maritime heritage and Pembrokeshire origins, and in recognition of the fact that several notable pirates originated from the same town as the Thomas family, our brand was named after the most successful buccaneer of them all -Bartholomew Roberts – Black Bart.
